Brighton Youth Orchestra String Ensemble

This award winning string ensemble is open to string players working for grade 8 or beyond. The ensemble has won the ‘Outstanding Performance Award’ at the National Music for Youth Festival five times in recent years and has performed in venues ranging from Inveraray Castle in Scotland to a cinema in Catalonia, in addition to giving an hour-long live performance on Classic FM. 

The String Ensemble performs regularly in Brighton & Hove. It often includes a work performed by memory. It also performs and collaborates in challenging and unusual artistic combinations and works. The ensemble maintains strong links with the choirs at the University of Brighton.
